    Opinion writing course for intermediate / Grade 3+ learners

    In the course, students will develop their skills in writing opinion pieces. By completing this course, students will be equipped with the necessary tools to write a well-structured and persuasive opinion writing. Parents can be assured that their kids will have a comprehensive understanding of opinion writing and the confidence to score an A in assessments.

    Focused Training on Opinion Writing
    (Taught by Mr. Edwin)

    • Develop A-grade skills in crafting opinion writings

    • Mr. Edwin will teach students how to plan their writing using two different methods (the O-R-E-O method and the O-REEE-REEE-REEE-O method)

    • The course will cover 6 effective ways to give examples, which is a crucial skill for students to master in order to make their writing more convincing and persuasive

    36-Page Digital Downloadable Writing Adventure Guide

    • The 36-page digital downloadable writing adventure guide is a comprehensive resource for writers of all levels who aims to achieve the highest possible grade in opinion writing exams

    • The guide includes detailed explanations of different components of opinion writing, such as the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, and provides examples and tips for each

    • The guide also includes a revising and editing checklist, which can help students identify and correct common mistakes and improve the overall quality of their writing

    Is it a video course? Or is it a Zoom course?

    This is a video course. This video course offers highly flexible learning experiences when paired with our detailed Writing Adventure Guide – parents can learn alongside your child, and understand how to best support your kid's learning. Also, the videos can be replayed as many times as needed to fully understand the concepts.

    What should we do if we have questions?

    If you have any questions during the course, you can reach out to us through our online platform (the Discuss tab), via email (info@fabclass.org), or WhatsApp (+852 9539 3409). That said, we believe our course is very comprehensive and has clearly laid out all the criteria necessary to score an A grade with detailed explanation, but if necessary, our instructors will schedule phone calls or Zoom sessions with students to clarify any questions or concerns. We are always happy to help and provide support throughout the course.

    What is the fee for this course?

    The fee for the course is HKD 950/course.

    Are there live sessions or webinars with the instructors?

    While the course is primarily based on video lessons, instructors can schedule live Zoom sessions with students if necessary to address questions or concerns.

    Meet Your Instructor

    Mr. Edwin

    Mr. Edwin is an EDB registered English teacher who formerly taught at multiple DSS and EMI primary schools. Having received his Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Mr. Edwin is an expert in ESL English teaching in a primary school setting, as well as an EduTech enthusiast.

    Mr. Edwin is a native bilingual speaker who speaks both English and Chinese as his mother tongue, so he is well aware of the 1st language impact on English learning and has the secret sauce to rectifying common problems ESL learners encounter.
